Background

For the circular economy to work, we need practical solutions. One such solution is re-using products to extend their life, to reduce the total impact the products have on our planet. Suspension grids are a key component of acoustic ceiling systems, and hold a lot of potential for further sustainable development.

The project

The aim of the project would be to develop and propose a re-usable suspension grid concept for suspended ceilings. The thesis could investigate how to re-use grids in their current state, or the possibilities for new designs/solutions that fulfill the same function.

You will be part of the R&D team in Ecophon and a combination of research and iterative testing should enable you to come up with a working small-scale prototype.
