The project

To calculate the environmental impacts of a product, a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is necessary. For construction products those are carried according to a standard called EN 15804.

You will study how to compile background data, use the LCA software, and follow the methodology of EN 15804 when conducting LCA. You will carry out your own LCA on a concrete example from Ecophon. You will also compare your results between EN 15804+A1 and EN 15804+A2.

You will be part of the R&D team in Ecophon and do a literature study on relevant standards followed by collection of the data and model on the GaBi software according the EN 15804.

Application
