The challenges include inability to establish clear demands for technology, limited access to technological resources, insufficiently educated and trained human resources, and a lack of scientific and technological support.

To increase knowledge about business model innovation for small and middle-sized companies in Bolivia, Jazmin Estefania Olivares Ugarte and Franco Arandia Arzabe, both PhD students in Transformative Innovation at LTH, have investigated how companies in Bolivia can develop their business models by participating in cluster projects led by universities.

The PhD students are now defending their licentiate theses.
