Jussi Hoivala from the Aerosol Physics Laboratory, Tampere University, will give the presentation “Air quality measurements in an underground mine: Significance of used fuel type, location and ventilation”.

The presentation includes information on the NEX-EL project - Non-exhaust emissions in electrifying mining and urban environment - along with experiences and results from two measurement campaigns conducted in underground mine in northern Finland. Effects of ventilation, tunnel geometry and different mining processes on air quality will be discussed. Also some unexpected events will be presented and explained.
