Saga Bergqvist, PhD student at the Div. Combustion Physics, will give a presentation on “Using light to characterize soot particles - from flames to aerosols”.

“Soot particles propose a threat to our climate and to human health, and the extent of their impact is still not completely known. What we do know is that the soot particles ability to scatter and absorb light are highly dependent on their structure and composition. In this presentation, I will go through measurements performed on soot particles from various laboratory flames using laser diagnostics and other techniques ex-situ, in-situ and online in the aerosol phase.”
